QC LIMS / LMES / CIMS / Empower Analyst - Biotech - Dublin

Our client is a leading international Biotechnology company with a state of the art aseptic manufacturing facility in Dun Laoghaire, South Dublin. 

The plant is one of the most dynamic in Ireland and is currently undergoing rapid expansion and capital investment. 

The QC Specialist (LIMS / LMES / CIMS / Empower) is required to provide laboratory business administration, template development, and technical support in conjunction with the site Business Process Owner (BPO).

Based on a hybrid schedule (2-3 days onsite per week), they will maintain and optimize key laboratory applications—including Thermo SampleManager LIMS, Biovia SmartLab (LMES), Biovia CIMS (Inventory Management), and Empower CDS—ensuring data integrity and full regulatory compliance.

Work alongside Business Process Owners to provide laboratory administration, system configuration, and technical support for LIMS, LMES, CIMS, and Empower

Build, configure, test, and maintain LIMS master data templates and system parameters

Evaluate new or revised eProcedures in collaboration with Quality Control subject matter experts (SMEs)

Support LMES eProcedure implementations, including CIMS updates, SOP revisions, and environmental monitoring sample plan reviews

Review and approve quality documentation, sample plans, and computer system validation (CSV) deliverables

Ensure system operations comply with cGMP, Data Integrity principles, GAMP5, Annex 11, PIC/S, and 21 CFR Part 11 regulations

Develop and deliver instructor-led training for lab personnel on QC software applications

Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize laboratory workflows and user experience

Partner with global master data teams and participate in audit/inspection preparation activities

Requirements

Third-level qualification (Level 8 Degree) in a Science, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or related discipline

3+ years' experience in a Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, or cGMP laboratory environment

Demonstrated hands-on experience as a user or administrator of LIMS (Thermo SampleManager), LMES (Biovia SmartLab), CIMS, or Empower

Solid knowledge of cGMP, laboratory operations, analytical techniques, Data Integrity Assessments (DIA), and 21 CFR Part 11 requirements

Strong self-teaching ability for technical software topics, excellent organizational skills, and ability to work under minimal supervision

Package

Hourly Rate €30 - €40 per hour depending on experience

Initial 12 month contract

Onsite Expectations: Hybrid working model (2–3 days per week onsite)
