QC Lab Data Analytics Specialist - Global Digital Optimization - Dublin / Remote

Our client is a global biopharmaceutical leader driving an end-to-end Quality Transformation and Digital Optimization Initiative across its global Quality Control network.

The Biotech Data Analytics Specialist (QC Digital Optimization) is required to join the Global QC Network Team, applying advanced data analytics, predictive/prescriptive modeling, and AI-driven capabilities to optimize laboratory workflows and digital quality operations.

Operating predominantly remotely (with an initial presence of at least 1 day per week onsite in Dublin for onboarding and flexible hours to align with global stakeholders), they will design, develop, and deploy scalable AI/ML solutions, Generative AI models, and data pipelines in compliance with GxP regulatory standards.

Develop, deploy, and optimize applied, predictive, and prescriptive analytics solutions for global Quality Control laboratory workflows

Design, evaluate, and maintain AI/ML and Generative AI models—including LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), agentic workflows, prompt engineering, and fine-tuning

Translate complex laboratory and quality business processes into production-level Python and SQL code alongside software engineering teams

Perform exploratory data analysis, data cleansing, and verification in collaboration with data engineers

Build, monitor, and maintain MLOps pipelines on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Databricks, Spark) utilizing Git version control

Create interactive dashboards and visualization tools (Tableau, Spotfire, Power BI) and automation workflows (Power Automate)

Generate technical documentation, annotated code, model validation reports, and project artifacts in line with SAFe Agile practices

Ensure all AI/ML and digital solutions comply with GxP, Data Integrity, and regulatory standards for computerized systems

Provide code-level troubleshooting, collaborate with IS resolver groups, and present findings across global cross-functional teams

Requirements

Degree in Data Science, Software Engineering, ML Engineering, or related technical discipline (Doctorate, Master's + 2-3 years, or Bachelor's + 4-5 years of experience)

Demonstrated experience developing and deploying machine learning algorithms, statistical models, and Generative AI frameworks (RAG, LLMs, prompt engineering)

High proficiency in Python, SQL, and data science libraries, with hands-on cloud platform experience (Databricks, Spark, AWS, or Azure)

Familiarity with MLOps practices, software engineering best practices (Git), and BI tools (Spotfire, Tableau, Power BI)

Knowledge of GxP compliance, 21 CFR Part 11, or experience in a regulated biotech/pharma/healthcare environment is a strong advantage

Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse global stakeholders

Package

Hourly Rate €35 - €45 per hour depending on experience

Initial 12 month contract duration with strong potential for extension as part of a multi-year global transformation program

Onsite Expectations: Predominantly remote model with initial 1 day per week onsite in Dublin and flexible working hours for global alignment
