Quantity Surveyor - Civil Contractor - Mayo

Pay: Salary €60k - €65k

Experience: 3+ years' experience in a quantity surveying role on civils projects

Visa: EU passport or Stamp 4 visa required

Our client is a leading Irish civils and infrastructure contractor delivering high-quality engineering solutions nationwide.

The Quantity Surveyor is required to manage the financial and commercial aspects of civil engineering, infrastructure, groundworks, and road surfacing projects.

They will liaise with clients, project managers, and directors to ensure full cost control, accurate application for payments, and successful project outcomes.

Measure, price, negotiate, and agree budgets and costs for variations to project scope

Promptly present all applications for payment, including all contractual entitlements, and ensure timely payment collection

Prepare and submit estimates, tendering information, and final accounts to clients

Compile weekly cost/value information, delivery schedules, value reconciliations, and final cost/value forecasts

Procure, negotiate, and place sub-contract orders, managing subcontractors through to final account settlement

Ensure all contractual letters, notices, and documentation supporting variations or claims are presented in accordance with contract terms

Provide commercial support to site supervisors, contracts management, estimating, and procurement teams

Maintain close contact with clients on all commercial matters and attend key project meetings

Source additional project staffing via recruitment agencies and approve associated job costs

Requirements

Degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying

3+ years' post-graduate experience as a Quantity Surveyor on civil engineering or infrastructure projects

Strong knowledge of civils, groundworks, road surfacing, and on-site construction processes

Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

Ability to work independently, manage tight deadlines, and build strong client relationships

Full clean driver's licence

Salary €60k - €65k depending on experience
