Job Description

Our Client is one of Europe's leading Specialists in Mechanical Engineering providing services to a range of industries including manufacturing, Mechanical and Biopharma.

They are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join the team.

The successful candidate will manage the costs, procurement, and financial aspects of high-tech engineering, mechanical piping fabrication, and modular skid projects from inception through to final accounts.

Quantity Take-offs & Measures: Read and interpret piping isometrics and P&ID diagrams to carry out highly accurate material and piping measures.

Cost Estimation & Budgeting: Prepare precise cost estimates for materials, specialist labour, and resources using software like CostX or Cubit.

Subcontractor Management: Handle subcontractor procurement, evaluate competitive tenders, administer monthly progress valuations, and negotiate final accounts.

Change Control: Proactively track, log, and value project variations and change orders while assessing technical and commercial risks.

Financial Reporting: Monitor overall project cash flow and compile monthly commercial cost-to-complete reports for senior directors.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related Civil/Mechanical engineering discipline.

3+ years experience preferably with a main contractor or a mechanical/process subcontractor.

Strong contract awareness, excellent negotiation skills, and a collaborative team mindset.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and specialized estimation software is required.

Package 

€45k - €60k, Negotiable Salary depending on Experience.
