Quantity Surveyor - PQS - Galway

Our client is a cost management consultancy who work on both the Client and Contractor side

You will be working within a well-established Galway Oranmore based team

Report directly to Managing director

To perform as part of a team of quantity surveyors to ensure that all clients needs are met and that accurate, professional and high quality services are rendered as required.

Note: expectations to perform the following tasks will depend on prior experience, all candidates will be considered regardless of experience.

Commercial management on live projects.

Assistance with tendering including quantity checking, obtaining quotations for materials and subcontract packages and building up rates from first principles.

Preparation of monthly payment applications and variation submissions.

Cost control on live projects.

Preparation of construction budgets.

Preparation of construction claims.

Procurement at project stage.

All aspects of quantity surveying from both the pre and post tender perspective.

The successful candidate will be involved in civil engineering projects, road resurfacing projects, house construction, renewable energy projects, commercial building projects, data centre projects and dispute resolution on both the Client and Contractor side.

Projects are located in Ireland and Germany.

Supervisory responsibility - The successful candidate, depending on experience, may be expected to supervise other quantity surveyors within the team.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in quantity surveying / construction economics, experience 

Costx software will be advantageous.

3+ years QS experience with with main / sub contractor or PQS consultancies

Excellent written and spoken communication skills

Package

Salary €40K-€85K negotiable based on candidates experience and qualifications
