Job Description

Our client is a leading Irish structural steel contractor who possess ISO9001 accreditation and continually lead the way in integrated services and support. The Quantity Surveyor & Estimator is required to manage tender documentation, measurement, estimation, and full cost control for several high-profile structural steel projects nationwide.

They will prepare and submit monthly valuations, produce cost value reports, and liaise with key stakeholders including clients, architects, consultant engineers, and project teams.

Ensure continuous review of cash flow and robust cost management including implementation of new estimating methods.

Prepare and issue subcontract documentation, including Letters of Award and Health & Safety packs.

Collate and value weekly labour allocation sheets and plant record sheets using agreed rates.

Analyse returned subcontract quotes to establish best value for money and manage subcontract liabilities Identify problem areas and trends in monthly contract cost reports and report on movements Issue subcontract payment notifications and cost allowances to site management.

Obtain subcontractor insurances and details prior to commencement of work.

Collaborate with operations and site management to evaluate variations, disruption, and potential value engineering opportunities.

Maintain deadlines in line with project timelines and company cost control procedures.

Job Requirements

HNC or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Estimating, or equivalent.

3-5+ years' experience as a QS and Estimator with a Main Contractor or Structural Steel Specialist.

Proven experience in structural steel contracts and commercial projects.

High level of IT literacy, particularly Microsoft Office 365.

Strong knowledge of measurement, cost control, subcontracts, and tender documentation.

Excellent communication, negotiation, prioritisation, and organizational skills.

Package 

Salary €40k - €60k depending on experience.

Monday to Friday schedule.

On-site parking.

Hybrid option.
