Our client is a leading Irish civil, structural, and traffic engineering consultancy delivering practical, innovative infrastructure and development projects across Ireland.

The Senior Civil Engineer is required to lead the design and delivery of site infrastructure projects, including surface water/SuDS features, foul drainage, watermains, and road layouts from concept stage through to construction.

They will prepare engineering services reports, flood risk assessments, planning compliance documentation, and construction specifications for residential, commercial, and public sector developments.

Liaise directly with clients, local authorities, Irish Water (Uisce Éireann), statutory bodies, and multidisciplinary design teams to drive project progress.

Produce tender and detailed construction design packages in accordance with national and local engineering standards.

Conduct BCAR inspections, site visits, and liaise with contractors during the construction phase.

Support the management of project budgets, deliverables, and timelines while mentoring junior engineers and technicians within the growing Limerick team.

Requirements

Degree in Civil Engineering (Level 8 or equivalent)

Chartered Engineer status (CEng MIEI) or actively working towards chartership

5+ years of post-graduate experience within a civil engineering consultancy environment

Proven technical expertise in drainage design (SuDS, MicroDrainage/Causeway Flow), water supply design, and site layout design

Strong working knowledge of Irish planning procedures, building regulations, and statutory authority requirements

Excellent communication, client liaison, and project coordination capabilities
