Senior Engineer - Construction Contractor - Cork City

Pay: €55K-€75K, Negotiable depending on experience

Our client is a leading Irish Contractor who undertake projects throughout Ireland in large scale construction.

They have successfully completed projects across a range of sectors including Civil, Residential, Data Centres, Hospitality, Commercial, Industrial, Healthcare and Pharmaceutical.

They are seeking experienced Senior Engineers to work on large scale concrete frame buildings projects in Cork

Reporting to the Project Manager the Senior Engineer will be responsible for planning, coordination and supervision of all the engineering aspects throughout the project. 

The Senior Engineer will work closely with the site personnel to deliver projects to the highest possible standard.

Management of Junior Engineers & Subcontractors

Setting-out from engineers’ drawings, site surveys, as-built drawings

Reading & interpreting drawings for layouts, materials measure etc.

Working with subcontractors/general workforce on site

Planning works in an efficient manner to ensure programme targets are achieved

Liaise with client’s representatives/Design Team members as appropriate

Ensuring that all works are carried out to the highest Health and Safety standards

Ensuring work is carried out to the highest of quality standards.

Ordering and control of materials on site

Maintaining the site records as required

Requirements

third level qualification in Engineering or related discipline

3+ years of experience in Construction Engineering

RC frame Building experience important

Strong interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills

Self-motivating to deliver on safety, quality & programme

Strong IT Skills

Ability to work as part of a team

Full driving license

Package

€55K-€75K negotiable salary packages based on qualifications and industry experience
