Our client is a leading building services consultancy.

They are looking to hire a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a forward-thinking team that values creativity, collaboration and innovation. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside industry experts and lead projects that focus on sustainable practices.

Job Description

Lead and support the design and delivery of mechanical building services projects from inception to completion.

Develop engineering solutions that balance technical excellence, sustainability, value engineering and commercial objectives.

Collaborate closely with clients, architects, structural engineers, contractors and other project stakeholders.

Prepare and review mechanical designs, calculations, technical specifications and tender documentation.

Monitor project progress, quality standards, commissioning activities and site installations.

Contribute to project planning, resource management and budget performance.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support knowledge sharing across the team.

Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, industry standards and the Company’s ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.

Requirements

Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in building services design consultancy or a similar engineering environment.

Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, heating, cooling, ventilation and associated building services systems.

Experience managing projects through design, tender and construction stages.

Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.

A collaborative approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality engineering solutions.

Package

€60K - €80K dependent on level of relevant experience

35-hour workweek with hybrid working flexibility post probation.

3pm finish on Fridays.
