Our client is one of the world’s leading providers of engineering professional consulting and support services with offices across Ireland.

They are looking for a Project Manager to join their team. 

Working on Knock Airport, you will be developing scope for new projects, upgrade works, managing ongoing contracts, solar farm, fire training centre, expansion of runway apron, sustainability measures.

A good construction background with a sustainability slant is expected.

Aviation experience is not necessary, but nice to have.

Lead and manage engineering projects from concept to completion in consultation with the client team, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Act on behalf of the client as the primary contact between the client and the various engineering delivery teams and consultants.

Co-Ordination of Multi-Disciplinary Design Teams.

Work closely with the client team and internal stakeholders to coordinate project activities, allocate resources, and manage project timelines.

Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

Ensure all project deliverables meet the required quality standards and comply with industry regulations and organisational policies.

Prepare and present regular project status reports to clients and senior management.

Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and progress reports.

Assist in the development of Funding Applications to the government bodies.

Requirements

Experience in project management experience, preferably in an engineering or consulting environment.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project/Construction Management, Climate & Environmental Sustainability, or a related field.

Experience in airfield projects and Chartership preferred

Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera and MS Office Suite).

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, consulting engineers and architects, client’s team members, and stakeholders.

Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.

Have a strong knowledge of construction health and safety including the roles and responsibilities of appointed duty holders i.e. Client, PSCS & PSDP.

Be able to comprehend design risk assessment and implement safe systems of work.

Experience and knowledge of sustainability and carbon reduction management is beneficial but not necessary.

Proficiency in AutoCAD

Proficiency in Microsoft Project
