Our client is a leading Irish main contractor specializing in large-scale data centre, industrial, and high-tech construction projects across Europe.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor is required to manage the commercial delivery, procurement, and financial reporting for a major high-tech construction project in Vaasa, Finland.

Reporting to the Commercial Director, they will oversee cost management, sub-contractor accounts, risk analysis, and contractual matters while embedding a strong safety culture on site.

Manage the full commercial lifecycle for major industrial/data centre project packages in Vaasa, Finland

Prepare tender and contract documentation, including bills of quantities, scope packages, and procurement strategies

Perform cost analysis, risk management, value engineering, and detailed cost control from project award to final account

Allocate work packages to trade sub-contractors, manage tender analysis, and negotiate sub-contract agreements

Value completed works, assess applications, and arrange progress payments for sub-contractors and suppliers

Identify, analyze, and manage commercial risks, developing mitigation strategies and advising on contractual claims

Prepare detailed monthly Cost Value Reports (CVRs), cost forecasts, cash flow projections, and progress reports for senior leadership

Undertake feasibility studies, risk assessments, and value management exercises alongside design and project teams

Actively foster and model a positive site safety culture, prioritizing safety compliance, resource allocation, and open communication

Administer main contract and sub-contract forms, ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and commercial regulations

Requirements

Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Cost Management, or a related discipline

7+ years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor, managing complex industrial, data centre, or large-scale building works

Proven track record delivering major construction projects on time and within budget

Strong knowledge of standard construction contract forms and international procurement procedures

High level of computer literacy, numerical accuracy, and expertise in commercial reporting frameworks

Exceptional time management, negotiation, and communication skills

Must possess an EU Passport or active EU work authorization to work on European site rotations
