Senior Quantity Surveyor - Infrastructure & Civils - Dublin

Our client is a leading transportation and infrastructure specialist delivering major civil engineering and rail projects across Ireland.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor is required to manage the financial, commercial, and contractual delivery of large-scale infrastructure and civil engineering works in North Dublin.

They will lead cost management from contract award to final account, maximizing cash position, managing change, and mentoring junior commercial staff.

Prepare bottom-up financial forecasts at contract award and maintain Cost to Complete and Risk Analysis Registers

Manage subcontract and material procurement schedules, drafting ITTs and sub-contract agreement terms

Ensure accurate month-end cost reporting, calculating accruals and producing monthly Cost Value Reports (CVRs)

Maximize cash flow through WIP control, cash flow forecasting, and commercial improvement plans

Identify commercial risks, value engineering opportunities, compensation events, and project scope changes

Measure quantities in accordance with TII (Transport Infrastructure Ireland) methods of measurement

Prepare and submit client applications for payment with full supporting documentation under Public Works Contracts (PWC)

Administer sub-contractor and supplier accounts from initial requisition to final account agreement

Maintain robust contract registers, administer change management, and manage insurance-related matters

Assist site and pre-construction teams with work-winning duties and PQQ technical writing

Support, guide, and help manage junior members of the commercial team

Requirements

Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics (RICS/SCSI accredited preferred; MRICS desirable)

6+ years' post-graduate experience as a Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering, rail, or infrastructure projects

In-depth knowledge of Public Works Contracts (PWC) and TII Methods of Measurement

Strong commercial acumen with expertise in risk analysis, contract administration, claims, and project controls

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Full clean driver's licence with excellent negotiation and communication skills

Salary €80k - €100k depending on experience
