Quantity Surveyor - PQS - Dublin

Our client is a an independent, professional services firm based in Dublin that specializes in construction cost management, quantity surveying, and project management.

Four decades of experience providing strategic consultancy and financial monitoring across diverse construction sectors in Ireland and the UK.

You will be working within a well-established Dublin 2 based team, reporting directly to Managing Director.

To perform as part of a team of quantity surveyors to ensure that all clients needs are met and that accurate, professional and high quality services are rendered as required.

Note: expectations to perform the following tasks will depend on prior experience, all candidates will be considered regardless of experience.

Commercial management on live projects.

Assistance with tendering including quantity checking, obtaining quotations for materials and subcontract packages and building up rates from first principles.

Preparation of monthly payment applications and variation submissions.

Cost control on live projects.

Preparation of construction budgets.

Preparation of construction claims.

Procurement at project stage.

Supervisory responsibility - The successful candidate, depending on experience, may be expected to supervise other quantity surveyors within the team.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in quantity surveying / construction economics, experience 

CostX software will be advantageous.

7+ years QS experience with with main / sub contractor or PQS consultancies

Excellent written and spoken communication skills

Effective Team Player

Chartership or on route to Chartership is preferred

Salary €70K-€90K negotiable based on candidates experience and qualifications
