Our client is a young, dynamic, and steadily growing construction cost consultancy.
Rather than finding someone to just fill a role, we are looking for a key partner to help lead and eventually run the firm.
This is a rare, senior appointment for an ambitious PQS looking to step away from traditional corporate constraints.
You will work directly with the founder to manage and scale the company.
For the right individual, this role features a clear and definitive path to a Partner/Director position, with the long-term objective of taking over company operations in the future.
Company Leadership: Actively collaborate with the founder to manage day-to-day operations, drive business growth, and oversee the commercial team.
Residential Cost Management: Lead post-contract and pre-contract functions for residential developments, including one-off builds, multi-unit schemes, and developer-led projects.
Core PQS Functions: Produce detailed cost planning, budget estimating from concept stage, risk assessments, and robust Bill of Quantities (BOQ) generation.
Tender & Procurement Support: Structure procurement strategies, manage competitive tender evaluations, and negotiate main contractor/subcontractor accounts.
Site & Regional Supervision: Oversee project financial health via occasional site visits to ongoing developments in the Midlands area, specifically Portlaoise and Athlone.
Requirements
A proven track record within a Professional Quantity Surveying or cost consultancy setting in Ireland or the UK.
Residential Sector Expertise: Extensive background managing residential portfolios, ranging from private architectural homes to complex developer schemes.
Leadership Drive: The mindset of a business owner.
You are someone who wants to influence corporate strategy, mentor staff, and step into an executive director capability.
Qualifications: Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.
SCSI / RICS Chartership is highly desirable.
Package
Salary €negotiable based on candidates experience and qualifications
A structured hybrid setup allowing for 2–3 days of remote work (WFH) per week, combined with collaborative days in our Ennis office.
Autonomy: Direct influence over company operations without multi-layered corporate bureaucracy.
Compensation Package:
Competitive executive-level base salary, performance bonuses, and direct financial incentives aligned with business growth.
Succession Plan: A fully transparent career roadmap progressing directly to Partner, Equity Share, and ultimate company succession.
