Senior Structural Engineer - Engineering Consultancy - Dublin/Cork

Office/Project Location: Dublin, Cork, Ireland

Employment Type: 12 Month Rolling Contract

Work Location: Hybrid (Office & Site Visits)

Pay: Rate €60 - €70 per hour

Experience: 10+ years' experience in structural engineering design

Visa: EU passport or Stamp 4 visa required

Our client is a global engineering and technical professional services firm delivering major infrastructure, life sciences, and high-tech facility projects across Ireland.

You will be part of a civil and structural team of engineers and designers working to develop, coordinate and finalise structural design deliverables. Join an experienced team of engineers and designers, and as a senior engineer you will gain experience in Life Sciences projects and get an opportunity to work with our in-house discipline teams as well as having engagement with our clients and construction management teams.

Specific Duties required for this Role:

• Familiar and competent with all aspects of structural design and be proficient with Eurocode design

• Competency with structural design software (we typically use STAAD / Tekla / Robot)

• Have experience working on multi discipline design projects, and have used Navisworks / Revizto softwares

• Have good communication skills

• Industrial design experience a plus

• Be able to provide mentorship / guidance to junior engineers

• Attend internal design team and model review meetings

Requirements

Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Level 8 minimum)

Chartered Structural Engineer status (CEng MIEI / MIStructE) or actively working towards chartership

10+ years of post-graduate experience in structural engineering design within a consultancy environment

Proven design experience in reinforced concrete, structural steelwork, and foundation design using structural analysis software and Eurocodes

Experience working on advanced technology, life sciences, data centres, or complex industrial/infrastructure projects

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and multidisciplinary coordination skills

Competitive hourly rate (€60 - €70 / hour depending on experience)

12-month rolling contract duration with strong potential for extension

Hybrid working model (office/home & site visits)

Laptop and IT equipment provided
