Technical Bid Writer - Engineering Contractor - Galway

Our client is a leading Irish engineering contractor specialising in turnkey design-and-build solutions across water, wastewater, civil engineering sector.

The successful candidate will prepare well-structured concept designs and technical narratives for civil engineering projects, particularly within the water and wastewater sector.

Coordinate bid information from estimating, commercial, design, and operational teams, and translate technical project information into clear, persuasive written responses.

The role also involves managing deadlines, tender documentation and submissions, while ensuring each bid addresses the client’s project-specific requirements and scoring criteria.

Prepare and coordinate PQQs, tender submissions, and bid documentation.

Manage bid programmes, deadlines, tender documentation, and submissions, ensuring each bid addresses the client’s project-specific requirements and scoring criteria.

Review tender documents, request further information where required, and ensure responses address client criteria.

Maintain excellent attention to detail throughout all submissions.

Requirements

2+ years’ previous experience in a similar technical writing, bid management, or civil engineering role.

Construction and engineering experience is required, with a strong understanding of technical elements and associated health, safety, and quality requirements.

Knowledge across civil, structural, and MEICA disciplines is preferable.

Strong written English and document preparation skills are essential.

Proven ability to manage tender deadlines and coordinate information from multiple teams.

Strong Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and document formatting skills.

Ability to develop tender programmes, including the use of Microsoft Project, is preferable.
